Urban Dispatch Logistics Inc. is a privately-held company providing logistics solutions through its two proprietary software platforms, ShipManager, and Pipeline. Although Urban Dispatch’s ShipManager provides local, national and international courier service, Urban Dispatch is not a courier company itself. Rather, it acts as an intermediary, using software it has developed, to manage courier deliveries on the customer’s behalf via a network of independent messenger companies in each market. The company has been in operation since 2002 when it launched service in the Calgary, Alberta market. In 2005, UDL came under new management and began the journey to national deployment.
