Lauren Gillis would be hard-pressed to call Harlow Crestwood a gift shop. With jewellery, handbags and home decor taking up a fraction of the shelf space in the store, Lauren believes a more contemporary colloquialism is apt. “They tend to call stores like ours lifestyle boutiques,” she says.
So what's in a term anyway? It sure doesn't change the type of inventory that Lauren's mother Sandy orders ever since she started Harlow's predecessor, Lyndale Accents, back in 2000. Even from the start, Lyndale had a reputation for stocking unique accessories and gifts, from Sid Dickens tiles and S'well Bottles water bottles to Matt & Nat handbags and Voluspa candles.
Harlow High Street was opened in 2014, occupying a palatial strip mall on 102 Avenue near downtown. But in 2016, Sandy decided to merge the shop with Lyndale Accents in Crestwood Mall.
In a cozy shop in West Edmonton’s Crestwood neighbourhood, you’ll find Harlow Crestwood. Harlow is a lovely shop offering a variety of decor styles and pieces at an affordable price point. You’ll find traditional pieces like Sid Dickens tiles and transitional decor pieces, as well as modern throw cushions and trays – and pieces for every style in between. Stop by and you’ll be sure to find something unique for your home!
Formerly known as Lyndale Accents, Harlow Crestwood is the revamped version of a boutique that has been an Edmonton staple for more than 15 years. They stock everything from bangles and statement necklaces to purses and gift items. One particularly popular brand they have in store is Alex and Ani, an eco-conscious line that creates their pieces with positive energy in mind.
This adorable, chic shop relocated in 2016 and moved into the owner’s other store, formerly called Lyndale Accents. Harlow is where I always stop to pick up unique gifts when I know I want to buy something amazing, but am not exactly sure what it is I’m looking for — although, I do know that jewellery is always a solid bet here. They sell gorgeous earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings, in addition to baby items, clothes and house trinkets, such as cocktail sets and scent warmers. Stop here for gifts for the hostess who always has the best-looking barware in town.
