Lyle Morley has been in the design business for 36 years specializing in kitchens, cabinetry and bathrooms, and has been passionate about it for as long as he can remember. When the kitchen design company he originally worked for unexpectedly closed down, he was suddenly confronted with a lack of incoming capital, the necessity of finding a new job and figuring out how to look after his previous clients.
After discovering a suitable location for opening a business and a niche market for wallbeds, particularly Murphy beds, his persistence paid off and Lyle officially opened The Kitchen Studio & Wallbeds-Etc in 2005, with the help of his wife. “I am very blessed to be doing what I do,” Lyle says. “It’s very rewarding because you’re designing for your client’s individual needs, and creating something that works for them. It’s always exciting and never boring, because the materials being used for design are always changing.”
