I ordered with SKIP today the smoked salmon on a bagel and French fries. When it was delivered - the hot French fries were thrown on top of the smoked
(Cold) salmon on bagel. Doesn’t anybody use their brain anymore?
My husband,and I came upon this restaurant last year. We have lived here for 30 married years, and never new it existed. We received a coupon in the mail, and gave it a try. So happy we did! The atmosphere is homey, and every waitress we have had is happy, and always smiling, and checks on you, to make sure eeverything is ok. The food is tasty, and not greasy. We had the Steak & Shrimp on Sunday,and we were very pleased. We really recommend this restaurant. So happy we found it! We will be back
I love love love Stanfield Grill House’s! Everytime I go, I am so pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. The staff is always so incredibly friendly. Everything I have ordered off the menu has been OUTRAGEOUS,!! there's just no other word to describe it. I just left and I can't wait to go back!
We ordered halibut and fish, and pork souvlaki to go. The Halibut was large, white, firm, with a nice crust, albeit a little on the greasy side (to be expected, this is a diner). Fries were great, large, cooked perfectly and surprisingly not greasy. The souvlaki came with basmati rice, pita bread and a greek salad, and was really good. The pork had a nice char to it, but still tender enough on the inside (except for 1 piece which was a little tough). Salad was delicious and i'm not a salad eater - comes with iceberg lettuce (no nutrition!), red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, feta and a nice light dressing. Very nice tzatziki sauce, really enjoyed this meal. We've also been there for breakfast and they make pretty good Eggs Bene - they have a great deal for breakfast - $4.99 for eggs, toast, coffee, home fries - can't be beat! Atmosphere is ok - i've seen retirees and biker types and some rough looking folks (no offense!). Better to go for breakfast if you're with kids, we order out if we want dinner. Overall nice place, love that it's so close to our home. Recommended!
Burgers are really good and homemade..and 8.99 with Poutine and a pop...keep your Mcdonalds...lol...great breakfasts as well and nice staff...has a homey feeling.
Soups are homemade and nice as well. find prices to be on the low side with all the hipster restaurants out there now.
Love this restaurant! a bit pricey but lots of good tasting food. The only issue I have is after ordering the Penne a la vodka and loving it for lunch, we tried ordering for lunch again (take out) but we were told they were too busy during the lunch hour and we could order at around 2PM. Who wants to wait until 2 to eat their lunch. Very disappointing...I told the waitress they should put this information on their menu. I have never had a restaurant tell me they are too busy to make a dish they have on their menu.
Although the price per plate was a bit much for an ex-truck stop, we were really happy with the quantity and it tasted great. We cleaned our plates! They didn't have a kids menu, but they did have high chairs. I think we will return for breakfast next time. They dressed up the place with crisp white table cloths and fancy folded cloth napkins and played blues jazz.

I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast and it was very good. The THREE eggs not TWO were cooked as I ordered over easy and the steak (New York Strip Loin , not Ribeye like other places I have gone) was very juicy and tender.The homefries potatoes were full of flavour and cooked to perfection on the grill ( not deep fried like other places).Coffee was included with the meal and I left very satisfied and the price was just right.I have found my new breakfast place and I will definitely bring the family.I will also be trying their lunch specials including their homemade burgers which is a big hit by the customers.
