“I originally trained as a pastry cook, a chocolate maker and an ice cream maker in my native Switzerland before perfecting my art in several large houses all over the country. This is where I learned everything, and I truly realized that it is with the best ingredients that the best products are made,” explains Yves Jacot, owner of Le Petit Fourneau, a neighbourhood pastry and chocolate shop located on Rachel Street East.
“I ended up in Quebec, where I was head of production at Cabosse d’Or, a large chocolate factory located in the Montérégie. Then in 2007, I arrived in Montreal, where I settled in my own small business, where I have made it my mission to create unique pastries and treats of the highest quality using only the best ingredients. Le Petit Fourneau was born.” Yves’s company, a combined pastry shop and chocolate shop, as well as a catering business, has been bringing happiness into the lives—and stomachs—of Montrealers since it opened.
