This restaurant is such a contradiction. It has the potential to become the best restaurant in Ottawa (if not the country). All the elements are in place. Awesome, atmosphere, great staff (mostly), and good food. The only stick in the ointment is a single toxic personality in the guise of a server, who seems intent on destroying all of that and ensuring that you never come back. She's a bit older than the other servers (who are all excellent), but this is not about age. Irene's up the road seems like an older crowd of patrons and servers, but they are awesome...but I digress, this not about Irene's, I just wanted to show that the contradiction at Patty's boils down to one personality. It's a real pity, because everything and everyone else there is out of this world.Read more

Nice spot. Upscale pub.
They brew beer on the premises but on that day the type of lager home brew I tried was flat. I sent it back after a couple sips. the waitress was very courteous about it. .

My Wife and I decided for our first anniversary to try something new. We saw the tapas concept on the food network and wanted to give it a try. We used this very webiste to find the 222 Lyon Tapas Bar. When we arrived we found a place that some people would call small cozy. We were greeted by our waitress Kathy, who took the time to explain exactly what we were in for, we then asked what would be suggested, best decision we made was listening to Kathy. We had the best croquettes, the terragon Pork....well YUM was all we could say. Then we came to a problem, we had no more food and were still hungry, we then met Dee Dee, whom then suggested we try the mussles, my wife and I had never ventured into mussles, so we took the suggestion, and WOW, they were HUGE, tender and the sauce (which we discovered is a one of a kind) was AMAZING!! We are 100% going back, no questions asked! If you haven't tried tapas GO NOW
overall the expierence was awesome, the food was a new walk on a different path with each plate. Don't miss out on an opportunity to eat here!!Read more

We had a very satisfying brunch. We had Berryman's classic and pancakes with freshly squizzed orange juice. They use organic eggs and locally sourced freshly made sausages. I also liked a fruit serving that it comes with. We'll be back for pizza.Read more
