Mango Rain is a cozy little restaurant run by a hard working young couple. It is a small restaurant located on 1714 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga, ON (on a strip mall, south side of Lakeshore). They specialize in authentic Indian and Thai fusion cuisine. Everything is cooked fresh as you order it. They have a small, but good variety of dishes from butter chicken, lamb, vegetarian plates and fantastic naan. Their prices range from $9 (lunch plates) to $16 (dinner plates). They even offer a take-out menu for your convenience. For desserts, they have home-made mango ice cream, topped with cashew nuts that is a must try.
You are always greeted with a warm smile in a friendly atmosphere. So if you are looking for a quiet, quaint environment with good quality food and value for your money, give this place a try. I give this restaurant the thumbs up and you are sure to enjoy it too.Read more

Went there this weekend and food was great, very fast and helpful staff. The prices are very reasonable: 2 dollars for a San pelligrino, less than 10 dollars for almost every dish. They also have a buffet option where they let you try an assortment of things for around 12 dollars. Will go back soon!Read more

I have been to Bombay on the Lake a couple of times and I highly recommend it. Everything we have ordered there has been delicious and an excellent value. It's great to have a place that will actually serve a Vindaloo hot.
The atmosphere is typical for an Indian restaurant, but that's really how I like it. Nice and low key and comfortable, with a nice area up front by the windows.Read more

Not only does your food come fast, but it's been marinating for quite some time. This is how Indian food ( and Pakistani) is actually cooked. If you go to an Indian restaurant and you're waiting for an hour and a half for your dish thinking it's going to be fresh and that's how it's made, you're wrong. Indian food takes HOURS to make. The sauces and spices need time to sink into the meat, and they do exactly that at Tika house.
The service is great, they're always on top of your water and they don't expect you to tip!
People might complain about the atmosphere but the reason why they made the place like that is because in India and Pakistan the best tasting places are done up like Tika house so you can focus on the food instead of the decor. The washrooms are very nice though!

The best Indian restaurant in Toronto. The only restaurant on Gerrard with a constant line up (and think how many restaurants there are). A great buffet, always being replenished. Great variety of flavours and presentations. The bread is out of this world. If you order from the menu, the selection is even better. Every dish cooked fresh, and they will adjust the heat to your liking. Very attentive and polite servers. A beautifully decorated room. Do yourself a favour - go to Sidhartha tonight.Read more

I am addicted to Indian food. I've been to just about every Indian restaurant in T.O. Without reservation ( pardon the pun ) I can say that this place is at the top of my list. Not only is the food fantastic but the price is an unbelievable 10 dollars for lunch and 12 for dinner. ALL YOU CAN EAT. You can order specialty dishes from the kitchen but the buffet has so many selections that you don't need to. Superb, fresh made naan and as many poppadums as you want are included in the price as well as desert. You just can't beat it.
I discovered this place about 3 years ago and since then I have been going once a week, every week. No kidding, it's THAT good. Not once have I been disappointed.
