Hate the wait but love the food. If you come at 10pm on a Saturday still a 10 minutes wait. I have been here a couple of times before and always excellent. The meatballs in tomato sauce just amazing. We had the zucchini and rabbit pasta dishes and both so good. Cooked just al dente, good amount of flavour and just enough coating of sauce. Very good selection of by glass or bottle wines. This is my measuring-stick for good food in Vancouver. This is my awesomeness in a meal. I've been here twice. Both times for my birthday. Both times the waiting staff were wonderful (even bringing out a birthday cake with my name on it), but even if they weren't, I'd come back here for the food. This place is an indulgence - bare that in mind - you're not here to skimp with a salad, you're here to try amazing game done RIGHT. I've had the venison, and I've had the wild boar. My mom has tried the game hen (so I had some) and I can't remember what else. It was so good that I honestly thought I should take it into a room and be alone with it, maybe buy it a drink and tell it how pretty it was before devouring it. Tender, succulent, rich, decadent - I don't think there are enough adjectives to describe how good the food is here, my tummy just growled because I'm writing this review instead of getting myself to DF's ASAP. We hoped by coming in on a Sunday it would be less of a wait. We were fortunate to get seated at 6pm as whenever we drive past there is always a lineup. Street parking is available. We tried their caprese to start, their daily pasta which was a red pepper cream penne & their prosciutto e Rucola pizza. They serve neopolitan style pizza w/ a nicely salted chewy crust. We came here for ‎the dinner, show and dancing. Every table had a good view of the stage. The Abba tribute band was fantastic. The service was excellent. The food was very good & We shared the 3 & 4 course options. We started off with endive salad, mussels, daily pasta special of Italian sausage in red sauce that was cooked al dente, risotto w/ porchini mushrooms & pork tenderloin.
