A money gouging facility
Do NOT ever get stuck here like I did! I had issues with them at every stage. Transportation via CN rail: I had a shipment coming in from another province to Alberta, they quoted me a specific price PLUS fuel surcharge. They charged me DOUBLE the amount of fsc that CN normally charges! when I confronted them about this, I heard excuses that were disgusting! Storage: They charge $2.00 /sq ft for storage fees. I had a 53 ft trailer coming in and according to anyones calcualtions it should take up 400 sq ft of space. They said it amounted to 480 sq ft. When confronted about this, they made more excuses...obviously this was becoming a money hungry scheme to try and pinch every penny possible from the consumer. Drayage: This was from their facility to ours which was approximately 10 km away. The charges were $325 per truckload. This truck was supposed to be a 32ft trailer (nobody told us that initially) that culd hold up to 62, 0000 lbs. the toal wieght of our shipment was 55,000. So any intelligent person can put together the fact that this ENTIRE shipment can fit on one truck! Can you believe that they had 3 trucks lined up to deliver this to us? so they can make $975.00 off of us instead of $325? I called in to complain and demanded to speak to the owner and apparenty there is no one higher up than that dumb secretary sitting there trying to suck out more money from the customers. Then I asked to have my own cube van loaded with the left over equipment. Guess what the charge was? $325 to load a cube van -- how long would that intelligently take? Max 30 min? Overall they still managed to gouge out another $150 for loading my cube van after sending 2 truckloads to my facility both weighing 14,000 lbs only. In conclusion all I can state is either the people there have a very low IQ or they are out there to steal your money in the most ruthless manner possible.
