My husband and I call this place Curry-in-not-a-big-hurry because the two times we have eaten here it took over an hour to be served our meals. We have not tried take-out at this restaurant, but a lot of take-out food was going out the door while we were waiting for our food. If we try it again, it would only be take-out. My husband and I certainly don't mind a leisurely meal, but the wait seemed excessive. We enjoyed our food, but now I make the same meal at home (rajma is very quick and easy to make).
We eat a lot of Indian food and cook it too at home. Got takeout at Curry in a Hurry one night to try the place. We were reluctant about a vegetable korma that is made with sour cream instead of yogourt or heavy cream, but it was pretty tasty. I liked the sabzi shorva soup but my wife found it had a strange aftertaste. Fries with curry sauce (and black pepper) is basic but very good. Breads tasted packaged and very plain. Accompanying rice was tasteless as well. Mango lassi was okay. Portions seemed small, but prices were fairly low.
Service takes a while-we called in the order and got it about half an hour later. We once ordered just fries and curry sauce and had to wait a half hour for it. Probably won't go back except for fries.
