1st & last time.

We arrived for our Valentines Reservations to a very crowded restaurant. The tables are so close together , it's like you're dining with other people. The waitresses are squeezing between tables to get by. We both chose not to get the Valentines Specials. I got a pasta dish. The sauce was delicious, the pasta undercooked & the portion was very small, and I got the regular. We didnt get bread with our meal & were sapossed to. The waitress wasnt friendly or observent. The dessert we chose was terrible! The hardest working person in the place was the busboy! He didnt stop the whole time we were there. I hope they tip him out well!

Give this one a Miss

Got the special as we had arrived without a reservation very early on New Years Eve. It was advertised as seafood ravioli in a cream lemon sauce with dill. Despite the fact that all three meals were to be served with bread and hummus, only one plate of it arrived. No offers of salad, soup. But the worst was yet to come. Wait staff didn't offer a large or small size assumed we wanted large. First plate full of pasta was barely cooked. Pasta was not opaque and was CRUNCHY!!. It was replaced with the proviso that it had been cooked as much as it could be without it falling apart. Someone doesn't know how to make ravioli? Filling was obviously imitation crab meat, a small amount of shrimp might have been present, but was impossible to taste over a cream sauce that contained so much lemon it puckered the mouth. The pasta was not el dente, it was still undercooked. Inedible. No one offered to comp the meal or correct the situation. This place is so hit and miss, I am not going to chance a miss again! The problem with the noise level has never been addressed. The restaurant was less than 1/4 full and so noisy conversation was almost impossible at the table.

Highest quality restaurant in Hamilton!

My Husband and I fell in love with this restaurant right away. We have come to love the chicken parmigiana (best chicken parm I have ever had... with fresh chicken and sauce that is out of this world). This dish is consistently incredible. We also order the tuscan vegetable pizza- which is HUGE and loaded with toppings. I usually can only eat a couple of pieces and take the rest home for two more meals. We love this meal combo so much we rarely venture outside of this order. Also, the portions are huge which justifies the moderate price. The staff has always been friendly, attentive and quick to refill drinks - even when it is very busy. This place really is a gem.

Egg-actly my thoughts...

I dislike being negative about a restaurant but, then again, I have to be truthful about it, as to how I felt. It was my first time frequenting this restaurant, and it was for breakfast. I ordered bacon and eggs. I asked that my eggs well done, not realizing that this meant "barbecued" at this establishment. So, after returning them, I was probably in their bad books for the rest of the visit. Anything positive? Yes, I did like the homefries very much, and the coffee was good. My friend ordered the Mexican Omelette, and said it was good. Do I have suggestions for them? Yes, the customer greeting when arriving should be more enthusiastic and a bit friendlier, to make you feel genuninely welcomed. If you've been to Apple Annie's in Burlington for the $5.45 breakfast, including coffee, you will see how much more you're paying at Limoncello's and getting less and not as good. Sorry, but that's how I feel. Try it, you may love it. Who knows! Will I go back. Yes, I'll probably go back at some point. I won't completely judge it on only one visit. And by the way, if they were to serve a breakfast special before 10:00 a.m., for $5.95, including coffee, I bet the place would be humming with business.

Skimpy servings...

This was my 3rd time there. Hubby had the pasta of the day, he said it was ok, nothing special but honestly, he could have eaten 3 bowls due to the size of the serving. It came with some kind of "herbed" sour dough bread that neither of us liked. I ordered the crab cakes. very tasty but again...Small! 2 for $11- I dont think I'll be going back, its nice for a get together, but not if you are very hungry.
