I bought a pair of sunglasses on Jan 3. On Jan 22, I needed to travel to the Caribbean and would need my glasses. It was not ready. By early April I asked him again, he said "believe it or not I'm still working on it, give me 2 more days". never happened. By early May he's still saying "I'm working on perfecting it and will call you in 2 days". It has been 4 months since I ordered, so I invoked Consumer Protection Act, Section Delivery, and insisted on getting a refund.
We had found this place through a Groupon promotion.
First of all the shop is in terrible mess. The biggest problem was the Groupon deal - for it frames and lenses are started from $150.
He proposed to sell us one of the frames for $50 cash, but it should be $150 if we use a Groupon.
The most simple lenses which priced at $60 everywhere else were for $150.
So instead of sweet Groupon deal you are getting poor service and extra charges which eliminate the deal value completely.
The owner / operator was horrible at offering customer service. The store was in a mess with boxes everywhere and the person was very sarcastic and insulting. On top of that, when he found out I had a coupon for a discount, he raised the prices (to the 'official retail prices') and wanted to charge me $419 for a pair of plastic frames with single focus anti-reflective lenses. It was a terrible experience and will never recommend it to anybody. Avoid it at all costs.
