THE BEST SUSHI

I LOVE AMA SO MUCH! This is the best place to have sushi! I am so glad it is only 3 mins away from where I live! I have been going here since it opened and was run down. They have definitely made a lot of changes since then but the food has stayed amazing! I would recommended going to ama over any sushi place!

Best sushi ever!!

I don't live anywhere close. But I've driven for the 40mins just to get sushi from here. It's always made fresh. There are so many options and combinations for a great price! I won't eat sushi anywhere else!

Great food and service.

I've been living in this neighbourhood for quite a few years now, and i've been going to this place ever since. This is a neighbourhood kind of restaurant with very friendly staff. I'm trying to eat healthier, so when i consider eating out, Ama Sushi is probably one of the healthiest place to eat around here. The food in this place never disappointed me over the years, they have the BEST Spicy Salmon roll, and i have tried it in many sushi restaurants around GTA. Their bento boxes are very good with a decent price for the amount of food you get. Service is great, although sometimes it can be slower when it's busy, which is understandable with smaller restaurants. They do delivery as well which is quite convenient for me if i don't want to leave my house. Definately one of my favourite restaurants.

Nice unassuming, friendly Sushi Place

The location is nothing to write home about, the decor is pretty unimpressive, but the food does not disappoint. Nice fresh sushi, decent service and good prices make this place a winner. A nice quiet night out with good food is all that really matters in the end.

Since I moved into this area over 2 yrs ago, I was quite happy to know there is a "real" Japanese restaurant here. I've been going there regularly (once or twice a week!). In the last 3 months, I found the quality lacking. The portion size and freshness have been compromised. I do order alot of take out and deliveries and when it comes to raw fish, it is so important that it is fresh. However, the last few orders( sashimi dinner , chirashi), it was a bit off. The rolls ie, golden dragon, green dragon, red dragon etc. priced at $7.95 are getting smaller and the ingredients as well ( compared to other authentic Japanese restaurants though charge $8.95, they are slightly more than twice the size and comparable about of ingredients to rice). How can a regular avocado roll, 6 pieces, quite small at $3.75 be almost the same size at the dragon rolls? I am very disappointed with that and I will no longer patron this restaurant.
