This restaurant is all about great value. The lunch combos with the rolls, salad, soup and dumplings or spring rolls is a fantastic deal. The sushi is decent, but the cooked food is horrible. Never buy any of that. The staff are not polite, but they aren't rude either. I don't mind that, and they are fast. This is a good place for some cheap sushi.
I often go to Sushi sky with friends for sushi. We don't know how and why we started going there but we've been going here every now and then for the past two years.
The food is good and of really great value. You get a huge serving in anything you order and they have little booths that are private and comfortable.
The service and the food taste is consistent and I think that's why my friends and I like going here.
Great value dinner sets here and I think I've only been here once for lunch and I remember it being a great value as well.
Definitely worth going for a casual lunch or dinner with friends.
I used to go to Sushi Sky quite often since it's right beside my house. I usually went alone and I felt this might have had to do something with the unfriendly attitude of the staff. I ignored it, since they have a well-priced combo and ok food. Right until I ate there last week.
I walked in alone and proceeded to my usual table at the back (a duce, so I'm not even taking up more space than absolutely necessary). After 15 minutes of no one coming to my table, I flagged down a delivery boy who got a server for me, I couldn't get anybody else's attention.
The guy who took my order gave me the impression as if I offended him somehow without even saying a word. After I gave my order, the food came pretty quickly, but no one served tea as this is supposed to be part of the service. I tried making eye contact with a few staff who completely ignored me, serving food and tea to all the tables around me. Finally they poured some tea after about another 15 minutes as I managed to flag someone down. As the waitress was pouring of course she looks grumpy, and as I say thank you she ignores me and walks away. After that no one checked on my table.
When I finished my meal, I was going to order some dessert, but as they took my dishes away, they immediately gave me the bill without asking me whether I would like anything else. As I said that I was going to order dessert, the waitress looks at me annoyed, and says: "What do you want?!" Then I said, "You know what, forget it.." She slams the bill on my table and walks away.
I have never experienced service like this my whole life, I almost felt as if I was offending them by coming to eat there. I don't expect much, I know it's not fine dining, but this was incredible. Don't know whether it's a family business, or they just purposely select staff with the same rude attitude, but they all seem to be in sync.
Oh well.. Gotta find a new sushi place.
agreed that the location lacks quite a bit and has that smell -- but i haven't found another place with the same sushi pizza!
i usually rush a pick up order and wish that i had ordered two by the end of the first one.
because i go about once a week for the pizza the wait staff have warmed up a bit - but just a bit. i would rather eat at my desk.
